This is a drawing from the wall/ container series. The internal vertical line attempts to create a sense of squaring the rectangle. The two corner cuts give the impression of receding space. The vertical line plays with this in an irresolvable way.
What distinguishes this from a simple visual trick is in that all the lines are talking to each other: There is a sense of continuing movement, one line talking to the next, bouncing off the other.
